The Meaques stream and the Casa de Campo wall are in its surroundings. It is a source that flows water from the place’s own spring, being one of the few that at the beginning of the 21st century is not connected to the Canal de Isabel II . At the beginning of the 20th century the flow was half a liter per second. The name ‘Zarzón’ is due to the usual presence of a medicinal plant called Zarza (Rubus fruticosus).
