This sculpt was inspired by one of my frozen video-game projects. The rest of the zeplin (not sculpted yet) was meant to be a flying factory of sorts, hence the conveyor belt delivering supplies, and the main export was a highly explosive fuel obtained through highly unethical means (hence the literal detachment from the surface-dwelling society). The design of the ship heavily revolved around secrecy and security, with a single vertical entrance and heavy doors with metal bars that slide across; a painful death would be preferable to a potential hijacking. I also imagined that the crew worked the factory while it was airbone, therefore they would require plenty of fancy drinks, food and luxuries to keep their sanity.
The paint job on this thing is super minimal, as I’m still figuring out how to properly texture these projects when I’m working with 200+ individual parts. Most of this sculpt was done back when I didn’t know about Z-Brush’s dynamic sub-division tool, hence the lack of crisp edges.
