ZO31 Early 16th-Century Watership 20253D Model
From 14 July to 8 August 2025, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) organized the fourth edition of the Field School Ship Archaeology Flevoland in collaboration with Batavialand. During this campaign, students and volunteers continued the excavation of the early 16th-century watership in Zeewolde (Flevoland, the Netherlands).
This model represents the final stage of the excavation. By this point, most internal timbers had been removed, leaving the outer planking, the well bulkheads, the keel, and part of the stem in situ.
The 3D model was created from drone footage recorded above the excavation trench. Images extracted from the video were used to generate the model.
