ZO31 early 16th century watership keel plank

3D Model

From 14 July to 8 August 2025, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) organized the fourth edition of the Field School Ship Archaeology Flevoland in collaboration with Batavialand. During the excavation of the early 16th-century watership in Zeewolde (Flevoland, the Netherlands), this keel plank was documented and recorded.

The 3D model was created using a portable Leica laser scanner, allowing for precise digital documentation of the timber’s shape and surface details.
