Back in 1992, well before I went to Design school, a younger me did a rendering of a car dubbed the “Zora Speedster”. I cherish this old rendering because it is signed by the famed “Father of the Corvette” - Zora Arkus-Duntov. Though the drawing was the best I could do at the time, it didn’t age well. This production concept builds off the original Zora Speedster here: https://skfb.ly/6TMA6 and Zora Coupe here: https://skfb.ly/6TMA7. The design shown here represents how those two concept cars might have spawned a more production ready vehicle, all while attempting to retain the essence and gesture of the concepts. The entire model was redone, with more feasiblilty in mind. The fenders, rocker section, doors, hood, and headlights getting the most attention. Ultimately, this design is a love letter to the C2 Corvette Stingray and I had alot of fun executing this entire series of vehicles completely in VR (without any 2D sketching) using Gravity Sketch.
