The zygomatic bone forms the cheek eminence.
**Three surfaces: **
1. Lateral surface:
The convex, directed antero-laterally and presents zygomatico-facial foramen. The zygomatico-facial foramen is the passage for the zygomatico-facial nerve and vessels.
2. Orbital surface:
Forms the part of lateral wall and the floor of the orbit. It bears the zygomatico-orbital foramen.
3. Temporal surface:
Anterior part articulates with the zygomatic process of the maxilla. Posterior part forms the anterior boudnary of the termporal and infra-temporal fossa. This surface bears zygomatico-temporal foramina.
Two processes
1. Frontal Process:
It articulates with zygomatic process of the frontal bone at the fronto-zygomatic suture.
2. Temporal Process
Extends backward, the serrated end articulates with the zygomatic process of the temporal bone to complete the zygomatic arch.
