Two years ago we shared a new Sketchfab integration that was part of Looking Glass Factory’s earlier holographic display. Now, we’re happy to announce that their latest product, the Looking Glass Portrait, will also support the direct import of Sketchfab models into its display. Looking Glass Portrait launches for pre-order today.
The Looking Glass Portrait will display a holographic snapshot of any model that is on Sketchfab—not just downloadable models—using the model’s URL. To display more advanced features like animations, and to zoom, translate, or rotate the models, you will need to download the models (if available) as glTF files and load them directly into the 3D Model Importer.
