The Lume Pad glasses-free 3D tablet has just hit the market and we’re pleased to share that it has direct integration with Sketchfab. The stand-alone device lets you see and explore 3D content using its light field technology, and its touch controls let you interact directly with the scenes.
The device can display over 500,000 downloadable Creative Commons models from Sketchfab, as well as your own models and store purchases.
While it’s hard to show the effect on a ‘flat’ display, here’s an idea of what it looks like:
To explore Sketchfab models on the Lume Pad, just log in to your Sketchfab account from inside the device’s model viewer app and you can browse both the free models available on Sketchfab and your own models and purchases.
The makers of Lume Pad are offering an exclusive discount for Sketchfab community members: get $200 off a new Lume Pad purchase by using the code SKETCHFAB at checkout.
