Polycam Adds Sketchfab Integration

Back to overview

Here at Sketchfab, we’re excited to see 3D scanning becoming more accessible with the LiDAR scanners in the new iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro. Polycam is a great example of an app that lets you create color 3D scans of objects and spaces,  measure and edit them, and export them in a variety of file formats. And now, we’re happy to share, Polycam has integrated direct-to-Sketchfab export, letting you easily upload and share your scanned models.

Sketchfab integration

Polycam’s integration lets users log in to their Sketchfab account and publish directly to Sketchfab. The name and description of the published model can be set from within the app, and then users are directed to Sketchfab to continue configuring their model.

Chris Heinrich, the Founder of Polycam, is an avid Sketchfab user and is personally excited for this integration to save him time when publishing his scans. You can find many of his scans, as well as some made by other Sketchfab community members, in this Sketchfab collection:
