Sketchfab 3D Now Available in CultureConnect Heritage Apps

Back to overview

CultureConnect, an award-winning digital platform for cultural experiences, now allows you to add your Sketchfab content to in-gallery interactives, online exhibitions, or mobile guides.

This integration, which was made possible by the Sketchfab Viewer API, provides CultureConnect clients with yet another way to engage audiences with Sketchfab-hosted 3D models both online and in-gallery.

“CultureConnect’s integration with Sketchfab creates a path forward for cultural organizations to launch scalable 3D content, AR, and VR experiences.”

Samantha Diamond, CEO, CultureConnect

Adding a Sketchfab 3D model is as easy as pasting a link into a CultureConnect Media Gallery via the CultureConnect platform dashboard. 3D models will then be available to add to any of CultureConnect’s optimized and responsive apps.

To see this integration in action, check out the live case study from the Lowe Museum of Art’s Animating Antiquity project (featured in our July 31 Cultural Heritage Spotlight).

This digital interactive is offering museum visitors new and enhanced access to collection pieces through an engaging and immersive platform. We hope that through such interactions visitors make more personal and deeper explorations of the Lowe’s collection.
