I got a question concerning the low poly Halloween challenge.
The given triangle limit is 20K, but what if you would like to create a cartoonish look were you dublicate your model, push and flip the faces to create the illusion of a outline (like in cel-shading). Due to the ‘outline-effect’ the number of triangles will double, so even though the scene/model itself is within the given limit (without the outline), the total amount of triangles would be higher than 20K. Would that still be within the rules?

  • Avatar Bart Veldhuizen says:

No, the total budget needs to remain under 20k.
