The top embed of this week is a sad one. Russian-backed separatists attacked the airport of Donetsk, Ukraine. What was left of the airport became apparent when the Professional Society of Drone Journalists reconstructed a drone video that was shot by Army SOS. Using photogrammetry software, they were able to build up several 3D models that showed the extent of the descruction.
The embed spread all over the world, but especially in the Ukraine and Russia, making it one of the 10 most viewed models ever on Sketchfab – within 24 hours.
