Sketchfab Master Tom Flynn teaches us in this tutorial video how to bring CT Scans to Sketchfab. Originally posted on the Sketchfab forums, Tom has given us permission to repost it here.
The video’s main points:
- Get a set of DICOM images. Tom uses a test set from OsiriX in the video
- Download and install Osiris Lite (Mac only) and/or Slicer (Mac/Win/Linux)
- Import the DICOM image set into either program
- Use the steps in the video to convert to a surface model in the software
- Export as .STL (for purposes of this tutorial, could also use .obj from OsiriX)
- Export as .STL (for purposes of this tutorial, could also use .obj from OsiriX)
- Upload to sketchfab
