Zoe Adds Sketchfab Integration

Back to overview

We are pleased to announce that Zoe, a tool for building engaging 3D experiences, now supports the import of Sketchfab models directly into the app.

Zoe is a 3D world creator that allows users to make interactive, immersive multi-user VR experiences, which can be used to explain processes, solve problems, tell stories, create games, and more, with little to no coding required. The app’s users can enrich their scenes with assets from Sketchfab’s library of nearly 1 million free, Creative Commons-licensed models.

The app is available on iOS and Android smartphones, and on Oculus Quest or HTC Vive for the full virtual reality experience. For optimal performance within Zoe, only models with fewer than 8,000 triangles will be available for import.

How to import Sketchfab models into Zoe

  1. Go to the Asset Library main panel by clicking on Assets in the main menu.
  2. Select the Sketchfab tab at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Fill in your credentials to log in to Sketchfab.
  4. Once you’re logged in, press the search icon and enter your preferred keywords.
  5. Select the model that you would like to import:
    1. If you’re in VR, simply drag it into your scene
    2. If you’re on mobile, tap, hold, and drag the model into your scene.
