The project is directed by Belizean archaeologist Dr. Jaime J. Awe and Dr. Julie A. Hoggarth. BVAR has been conducting archaeological research in central Belize since 1988 at many sites including: Cahal Pech, Baking Pot, Lower Dover, and Xunantunich.
