The use of digital technology is opening new doors in the world of museums and art historical study. Museums now have the ability to provide visitors with a greater understanding and level of interaction with their collections. The digitization of objects is important for a variety of reasons such as documentation, research, and education. New Ways of Seeing explores the use of photogrammetry and 3D modeling on art objects in the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum. This use of technology provides new opportunities for the museum in terms of accessibility, interactivity, and conservation.
