In collaboration with the Google Cultural Institute, Art of the Ancient Americas at LACMA offers access to 3D scans of a selection of pre-Columbian ceramic artworks from our permanent collection. The Google Cultural Institute develops new technologies, like the 3D-scanning equipment employed here, to help cultural instututions from around the world make their collections publicly and digitally accessible. This collection of 3D scans includes sculpture from West Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, Guatemala, Colombia, and the south coast of Peru.
