Buddhist Stupa at Pura Ulun Danu Beratan temple complex.
Location: Bedugul, Bali, Indonesia
The Ulun Danu Temple complex is a Hindu-Buddhist temple located on the western shore of Lake Bratan. The complex includes several shrines and structures, one of which is a Buddhist stupa.
The stupa has been built in the 17th century by the Majapahit kingdom, which ruled over parts of Indonesia and Southeast Asia from the 13th to the 16th century. The stupa is made of brick and stone and is adorned with carvings and statues.
In the context of the Ulun Danu Temple complex, the Buddhist stupa represents the harmony and coexistence of different religious traditions in Bali. The complex is a place of worship for both Hindus and Buddhists, and the presence of the stupa reflects the cultural and historical connections between these two religions in Indonesia.
The stupa is cca 8-10 meters tall.
