Description: This is a 3D light structured surface scan of a male northern bottlenose whale (Hyperoodon ampullatus) from the Faroe Islands. The specimen was collected in 1890 and registered in 1992.

Comments: Northern bottlenose whale is a North Atlantic species of toothed whale which feeds primarily on squid. Most of their feeding is done in water deeper than 800 metres.
