SS Anna Toop was a 478 ton British Cargo Steamer built in 1893 at Troon, Scotland. On the 21st January 1958 she struck South Arklow Bank whilst on route from Port Talbot for Londonderry carrying a cargo of steel plates. She managed to get off the sandbank on the 22nd January but filled with water and sank the next day. The vessel measures in at 49 m in length, 7 m in width and 3 m height. It is located 13 km from the Wicklow coast at 52°44‘7.138”N 5°56‘58.706”W in roughly 33m of water.
