A Bale Tomb in the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin, Shipton-Under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire.

The text records the deaths of Henry Morgan - 1727, Rose Morgan - 1734 and Robert Morgan - 1759. Because of this tombs importance it is a listed structure and protected by law.

I photographed this tomb as a test piece to see how far I could push getting detail using a compact camera and to help inform how I could improve the design of my camera slider.

My full model as processed had 33 million faces which allowed some of the text to be read from the model alone, the significant reduction in size of the model to get it on Sketchfab has meant that most of the text detail along with the finer details of the carvings has been lost.
