More model informationThis is a slate block at Dinorwic Quarry near Llanberris, North Wales, photographed during a climbing trip to Snowdonia in July 2017. The quarry was one of the largest slate producers in the world, but closed for production in 1969. Following closure the quarry site was quickly developed for climbing (spearheaded by British climbing legend Joe Brown) and has since become a popular rock climbing venue that contains many iconic test-pieces. https://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=3682
