The Castle Town of Monemvasia (lower town) is among the most impressive places in Greece. Located on the south eastern side of Peloponnese, Monemvasia was entirely carved on the back side of a sea rock in the Medieval times. The medieval buildings of the town have been restored, and many of them converted to hotels. Climbing up a narrow pathway leads you to the vast plateau that was once a thriving town (upper town-soon to be uploaded!).
