More model informationA Bronze Age round barrow high on Mynedd Llanllwni, Camarthenshire, Wales, one of several sites located in this region of hillside.
From Coeflin: “A centrally robbed round cairn, 22m diameter and 1.6m high. Excavated 1907 (RCAHM 1917 (Carmarthenshire), 173 [519]), when a second mound, was said to have been removed.”
The second mound may be that visible to the west. The ring of stones are likely to be a relatively recent re-arrangement of one or more prehistoric features.
The site was recorded at the end of March 2016 following Storm Katie with a DJI Phantom 3 as part of the Creative Europe-funded Common Cultural Connections project.
