The giant panda has for a long time been known as one of the most endangered animals in the world. But by 2017 it’s conservation status had improved and it is now categorised as vulnerable.
Copenhagen Zoo contributes to the conservation of the giant panda and its habitat in China. In spring 2019, a male and a female giant panda from Chengdu Panda Base in China will arrive at the Zoo.
