Kincardine O'Neil Old Parish Church3D Model
The remains of Kincardine O’Neil Old Parish Church stand on the south east side of the village of Kincardine O’Neil in Aberdeenshire. The church was built in c.1330, burnt and repaired in 1733, considerably altered in 1799, repaired again in 1846, abandoned and unroofed in 1862, consolidated in 1931, and repaired and stabilised in 2017 by Aberdeenshire Council. It was formerly the parish church, dedicated to local saint, St Erchard, and the Virgin Mary. St Erchard is said to have been a local disciple of St Ternan (in the late 6th century AD) and is said to be buried within the church. This model shows the now blocked north entrance to the church, a fine Norman (Romanesque) arch thought to date to the 14th Century AD.
