This green-glazed molded plate was found on the location where James Dexter, a prominent member of Philadelphia’s free black community, lived in the late 18th century. It was 3D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner in the archaeology laboratory for Independence National Historical Park (INDE) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The sherd was archaeologically recovered from what is now the location of the National Constitution Center.
