More model informationEarly Saxon devotional carving (dated to around 700AD) housed at Manchester Cathedral. This piece was discovered during renovation work during the early 18th century and has been preserved within the cathedral since.
The detail is of an angel holding a scroll with text which translates to “into thy hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit”.
