More model informationIn the northern Ronay area, this is a farmstead group associated with 19th Century crofting and kelping activities. The three ‘cells’ of the farmstead appear to have been built over the foundations of a much earlier structure which appears to be roughly rectangular with bowed long walls - the lines of th foundations of this earlier structure can be traced easily in the field. Some of the walls of the original building have been incorporated into the three cells now seen, and stone has been robbed out to create the additional walls.
