More model informationThis cannon was raised by divers from a wreck somewhere off Mullion and mounted on a wooden frame outside Mullion Cove hotel. It is about 2 metres long and is typical of the small guns carried on merchantmen in the 17th and 18th centuries. There are several wrecks near Mullion where I have seen guns of this type still on the seabed. This was my first effort at photogrammetry and there are some holes (under the front section of the gun), but the light was very good that day and the detail shows up very well in zoom.
