This one was tough. Kestrels are tiny, approximately 6 inches (15cm) from head to feet. The fine feathers don’t hardly show at all, and the tail feathers lost the translucent strip of white at the bottom.

But, the taxidermy on this one is also kinda ugly. The real model has those weird bug eyes. And the taxidermist did a poor job on the fine head feathers. Looks like the poor bugger has a combover.
