The Pescadero-Ituango or Hidroituango hydroelectric is the name of the largest hydroelectric project in the history of Colombia, whose construction began in 2010 and will start operating in 2018. The project will be located in western Colombia, in the department of Antioquia, about 171 kilometers from the Medellin, the capital, in lands of the municipalities of Briceño, Ituango and Toledo (Antioquia), will be built with soil core, will have a height of 220 meters and will create a large 70 km long reservoir fed by the Cauca River and which will contain up to 2,720 millions of cubic meters of water.
