Aghadoe - Sheela-na-Gig - CO066-038002
This Sheela is located on the W wall of a circular building next to Aghadoe House . Set on a rectanular block the head it triangulr in shapr with ears to the sides. The left is higher and appears larger than the left. The eyes are large ovals and a rectanular nose. The mouth is open and lozange shaped. cheeks depicked. The pointed chin appears to be set above the body and the clavical is shown. Two long breasts desend from its point. The arms are extended to the side the left is bent at the elbow towards the back of the knee and fingers opening a large vulva. The right is bent at the elbow towards the head and appears to hold something in the hand. The stomach appears to be distended or bloated The ribs are well defined with five shown on each side. The lefs spread outwards and feet point out (both damaged). there three bumps on the left wrist and two on the right, maybe scales? the body is punch dressed unlike the uneven facing of the surrounding stone.
