EN: A late 16th century felt hat with a velours lining, retrieved during underwater excavations in 1996. Dimensions: diameter 33 cm, height 14 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Excavated from shipwreck Scheurrak SO1, a merchant vessel found in the Dutch Wadden Sea near Texel, the Netherlands. Wreck date: 1593.

NL: Een laat 16de-eeuwse vilten hoed met een voering van velours, geborgen bij een onderwateropgraving in 1996. Afmetingen: diameter 33 cm, hoogte 14 cm.
