More model information

Wessex Archaeology has been involved with the conservation and refurbishment of a Grade II listed milepost located on the south side of Boreham Road, Warminster, Wiltshire (UK). It was manufactured by the Carson and Miller foundary, and many of their mileposts stamped ‘C & M W 1840’ are still found across Wiltshire, north Dorset and east Somerset. The cast iron milepost was set into the original 18th/early 19th-century milestone at the base. The model documents the milepost before conservation and was generated in Remake by Damien Campbell-Bell.
