More model informationThis model shows the wreck site of an unknown vessel wrecked sometime in the 19th century near Little Ganinick in the Isles of Scilly. The site consists of a cargo mound containing components of mining equipment, the majority of which appear to have been pumping tackle. There are no obvious remains of shipwreck visible on the site, which is known as the Wheel Wreck.
The seabed topography was modeled from multi-beam echo sounder data collected by MSDS marine. This was combined with a reduced resolution 3D model derived from photogrammetry. View a more detailed model of the cargo mound to see each component more clearly.
