Etruscan anthropoid sarcophagus cover with the portrayal of a man (the deceased) lying down on an banquet bed. The left arm, folded to support the bust, leans against two pillows and it is covered by a mantle leaving the belly exposed. The cover is carved on a local volcanic rock also known as rhyolite, probably made in a local workshop.
