More model informationA test of detail projection using only Normal Maps from a 60-million polygon scan onto a 8-thousand polygon low resolution model, without any texturing to gain “detail”.
The model is a Cuirass Torso from the Cosa site museum. Ancient Roman emperors were often depicted as generals, wearing ornate armor (cuirass) that mimicked human musculature.
The cuirass here features a gorgon head, winged victories, and vegetal scrollwork.
