The most recent surveys have confirmed that this wreck is the DERBENT. The DERBENT was a British tanker. Travelling from Liverpool to Queenstown, she was sunk by U 96 commanded by KapLt Heinrich Jeß on 30 November 1917. Her wreck lies 6 miles north east by east off Lynas Point, Anglesey. There were no casualties.
