More model informationSydtoppen of Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest peak.
The model shows the peak’s difference in size between 1997 and 2014, by placing the two models on top of each other.
The peak is a plateau glacier, and is therefore strongly affected by climate change. Soon, Nordtoppen of Kebnekaise at 2097 m a.s.l. will be higher. The model is made using oblique helicopter images (12 from 1997 and 28 from 2014) taken by Professor Per Holmlund.
