Making an svg file 3d in Blender:
-
Draw the vector image in any easy for you editor. Export image as SVG file.
-
Import to the Blender the svg file. (File → import → Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg)). The SVGs import in with a Default Material.
-
Select the object and click on the object Data button on a Properties Editor panel at the bottom right. In this examle shape was appointed 2d. (You can change to 3d by changing fill property to full). Set the extrude value in the Geometry tab.
-
Convert the curve to a mesh by pressing alt +c and select mesh from curve. In an Edit Mode correct the mesh (for example, delete duplicate vertices by pressing W and select remove duplicate vertices).
My final result you can see here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/73882343/2D-to-3D-conversion
