More model informationKerbstone 118 is located on the outer edge of the largest megalithic tomb at Knowth, County Meath, Ireland (ME019-030001-). It is made of greywacke and decorated with a serpentiform motif “pecked” into the surface using a sharp implement, possibly flint or quartz. The serpentiform is a motif seen across the corpus of decorated stones from Knowth, however in this example the serpentiform forks at one end, which is unusual.
