More model informationA highly problematic canadian bolt action rifle.
The Ross series of rifles were invented by a scotish man who wanted to capitalise on the british empire refusing to let canada produce lee enfield rifles.
He developed the ross rifle in 1903 and iterated on it for several years after. It featured a straight pull system and was popular among hunters and target shooters as it was highly accurate.
The main downside of the Ross was that, if you were to take the bolt out and put it back in incorrectly, (which was extremely easy to do), once the rifle was the fired, the bolt would explode out the back of the gun and kill the shooter.
