Sometime I feel like any successes I’ve had in my career have been flukes, that I’ve sort of plateaued in terms of skills and that I don’t feel like I’m learning or improving at anything.
In times like this and as hard as it might be, I find it’s best to look back. To look back at your past success, in my case I keep a folder of projects I’ve done on my desktop. some good, some…less so, but at one point or another they all represented the best I could do.
I then like to challenge myself and redo one of these projects, I keep the same idea or theme, but try and improve on it with the skills I have now, once finished I like to compare them.
It can be far too easy to compare your work to that of others, but as long as you can still make something at the end of the day you’re proud of, that’s the best feeling in the world.
Can’t wait to look back and feel the challenge to improve on this one in a few years✌🏻
