It shows the portrait of Roman emperor Severus Alexander (222-235 AD) with his imperial titulature IMP CAES M AVR SEV - ALEXANDER AVG on the averse. The reverse reads PONTI-F MAX TR P V COS - II P P with LIB AVG III in exergue and shows the emperor seated on a platform on the sella curulis, with personified Liberalitas and two Togati next to him; a citizen ascends the podium to receive an imperial gift.
