3D Model of the Victoria Crater on Mars

This is a result of the PRoViDE EU FP7 project.

The 3D data set of Victoria Crater on Mars was assembled from a NASA/MRO/HiRISE Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in cooperation between VRVis (Rendering), Joanneum Research (3D vision processing), Aberystwyth University (shape-from-shading based enhancement of Digital Elevation Model – DEM) and University College London / MSSL (Super resolution restoration of image texture from the HiRISE orbital sensor, see publication by Tao & Muller, 2015).
