More model informationThe Xanten Boy is a Roman bronze statue possibly made in the first century AD. It was likely lost in the third century when Germanic tribes raiding the Roman provinces failed to get their wagons loaded with treasure across the Rhine. It was discovered near Xanten, Germany by fishermen in 1858 and now is in the Neues Museum on Museum Island in Berlin.
