Aspron trachy of the Byzantine emperor Manuel I (AD 1143-1180). The electrum (gold-silver alloy) coin was minted in Constantinople.

Obverse: Inscriptions (I ̅C - X ̅C) to the left and right of Christ who is seated on a throne with a raised right hand while holding Gospels.

Reverse: MANVN ΔЄСΠΤΗ, Manuel and Mary standing and holding a patriarchal cross between them; M above, ϴ ̅V at top right.

Diameter: 31.5 - 32.5 mm
