Each county is colored by winning candidate and shaded by the winning candidate’s margin of victory. A lighter red means that Romney won the county by a smaller percentage of the vote and a darker red means that Romney won by a larger percentage of the vote. Similarly, a lighter blue means that Obama won the county by a smaller percentage of the vote and a darker blue means that Obama won by a larger percentage of the vote. Notable cities in Ohio have been marked for context.
