Blippar Adds Sketchfab Integration

Back to overview

We are pleased to announce that Blippbuilder, a tool for creating and sharing AR experiences, now supports the import of Sketchfab models directly into the platform.

Blippbuilder allows users to create three different types of AR experiences using its no-code interface: Gyro (AR experience appears around the viewer), Marker (AR experience is triggered by an image), and SLAM (aka Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping, allows 3D objects to be placed on a flat surface). The tool is optimized for desktop use on Blippar’s website and from within Microsoft Teams. Finished AR experiences can be shared on social channels for use on mobile devices.

The new Sketchfab integration gives Blippbuilder users access to nearly a million free Creative Commons-licensed models. Creative Commons attribution is automatically added to projects at publication.
